Gas Street Basin widening out in front of us. Long term moored boats across the centre of the basin. The narrow channel to the right takes you through to the Worcester and Birmingham Canal. For many years there was a physical bar bewtween these two canals, forcing boats to unload on one side and the produce reloaded on the other. There is a unused stop lock under the bridge, which was there to stop water from one canal being lost to its competitor.
