Bristol's floating harbour, seen fromapedestrian bridge crossing one of the side chanels coming of the main harbour. In the background there is a historic area been maintained as it was, with the original cranes and train wagons etc. These cranes could have beenthe ones my father used.

The old walls of the harbour are still here, wherev the boats used to pull in and inload/load up. Where these modern building now stand would have been a variety of wharehousing.

Travelling around the floating harbour in Bristol. The low bridges originally would not have been allowed as this was used by sailing ships in it's hay day. I have met a gentleman who had sailed from Bristol and in the crew quarterws were racks of cutlesses? Now what was the date? and where were they going? I have no idea, but was it the first E.U. wars?
