Leaving the canal, for the wilds of the river Trent.
After much planning and co-ordination of relatives, we had a plan! We were going south again, doing another round trip from th north to the southern tip of England, (OK we could go further.)
The first leg is one of the shortest, from home to Beeston (near Nottingham) To stay with Ivis and Henry. We also hoping to go to the Crick Boat Show while we are here.
We are staying in Beeston, with Ivis and Henry (to be correct a B
B down the road, while my brother Ricchard has the spare bed. We
travelled to the Crick boat show in Richard's car, as I was
worried about getting stuck in the field (car park). I need not have
worried as it was one of the better days we have had at Crick.
We then drive from Nottingham down to nearly Plymouth (Kingsbridge) to stay with Sue's dad and his wife Sue.
After staying there we are driving back up the motorway to Birmingham to stay with one of Sue's friends. Then on home. We will need another holday to recover?
but thats another story.
