Disused railway viaduct in Ingleton.

To be found in the Doomsday Book, the name stands for 'Beacon Town', this may have some thing to do with the town being used by the Romans as a signal station. This is one of the most popular villages in the dales, this goes back to the 18th Century when the caves and other splendid scenery attracted many walkers and others. This was also partly due to the railways giving cheap travel to the masses.
