Hellifield Station
These were taken in September 2007
A quick look round the station and nice cup of tea at the station buffett. The person who keeps appearing in the pictures, is my brother Richard.
Hellifield station stands on the line from (Leeds and Bradford) going to Carlisle, (Often referred to as the Settle to Carlisle line, but that is only part of it.) The station sits at the junction, where the a line to Bolton via Clithero leaves (still open for goods traffic.) It is also the last station before Giggleswick and Settle as the line separates just before it reaching those two stations.
Notice that the platforms are designed to take a full express train.
