Local National Trust property in Keighley.

Parts of the hall date back to Saxon times, the main building was constructed in 1630 by James Murgatroyd, a wealthy Halifax clothier and merchant. The hall has one of the largest and impressive barns in the north of England and houses a collection of farm wagons and other agricultural equipment. The hall is set within lovely grounds with many trees and herbs.

The visiting group consisted of me, Sue and Joy, a friend from Birmingham. A really lovely Monday in August 2007. We can recommend the tea room, very nice, just mind your head on the beams!
