Shardlow in Derbyshire.

From living as a child in the midlands, this was ofter oneof the holiday spots we used, especially if going as part of a larger group.
Lived in Ripley when doing A-levels at Ilkeston College, and then moving Nottingham and going to Clarendon college to do a foundation course in Theatre Studies I think they called it.
In Ripley (Street Lane to be exact) I used to get the last bus home from college on a Friday, and get home about 5:30, the bus used to carry on to the bottom of our road and turn round and it would be the last bus in to Ripley which would give me about 10 minutes to change, eat and get back to the bust stop for a night out. In Ripley I would get the to the bright lights??? of Nottingham. Used to meet up with a friend Derck and dancing at the rowingt club, It took place in the boat sheds, and the boats were still inside! They where hanging from the ceiling. Then it was crashing out on someones floor.

Later when going to college, the bus used to go via Matlock, Buxton, Stockport (talk about under neath the arches). Then living in Brum with a motoer bike, whee else would you go???
