Riley Green to Wigan Top Lock
Short day to day, only a short hop to The Top of the Wigan flight.
After leaving the pub moorings, we sooner arrived at Johnson's Hill Locks, took on water while Josh made use of the Showers, then again we went down the flight by our selves. Towards the bottom, Josh has to heard a cow along the towpath and back into it's field. (much to the relief of several towpath users, who were hiding behind the lock gates!
Arrived at the bottom and chugged slowly towards Wigan, (it was a nice day for once!) via Chorley and Adlington. arrived at Wigan Top lock by 14:30.
Notes on progress. Structures we went through 6 Johnson's Hill Locks
Places we go by Riley Green (pub meerings) - moored last night Chorley. (went to college there!) Adlington. Wigan locks - moor above the top lock.
