It is 10:30 in the morning and we are nearley in Nantwich!

Audlem to Nantwich - Loose Richard

A very short day today. Richard needed to get the train to Nottingham, so that on Sunday he could drive back to London and be fit for work. So todays target is Nantwich.

This morning all goes smoothly, we must be getting good at doing this as a team. First there is the last three locks of the Audlem flight to do, a gentle trundle along the flat before dropping down two more locks, just passed the secret place, which has big signs saying secret! and then another gentle trundle into Nantwich, which we manage by mid morning.

We manage to squeeze into a space just being emptied by some one disappearing off for the week at the south end of Nantwich (just passed the first road bridge). Richard is packed, so we take a quick walk about 20 minutes up to the railway station, he has a little wait for his train, so we adjoin to the Station Hotel, for coffee and toast. Its interesting how some things seems really enjoyable. They did it very well.

Said good bye to Richard at the station, and went for a walk round Nantwich. Lovely little town, with some very nice shops, (very nice shops!!) Had a light lunch and lots of window shopping, and collected some provisions and a jigsaw for Sue??? Late birthday present.

Then walked back to the boat by a more direct route.

Have what is left of a nice afternoon, lazying around the boat, watching people go by.

At some point Josh rings, to see how we are getting on, decide that it would be nice if he came on Monday, he will ring us when he is close bye.

We have a good tea, Sue gets her new Jigsaw out, I read my magazine - drinks and so to bed.
