A deep broad canal, with no locks, that enables you to maintain an average speed of 4 mph for hour after hour. We have traveled this way 3 times now.
The first time was when me and John brought NB Dawn from Anderton to Skipton, after buying her.
The second/third times was when we went on our 2011 Summer trip. (going and comming back.)
The Bridgewater canal ens at Preston Brook tunnel in a head on fashion, the stop lock between thetwo canals is after the tunnel.
