Crossing Stainforth Beck
A strange event, the whole family going out together!
First stop was Starbotton, we parked in the pub car park, BUT the pub wasn't open yet, so we went for a stroll around the village.
There was supposed to have been a Quaker Meeting House here as well as a burial ground. Even after visiting on several other occasions, so far I have been unable to find it.
Settle to Carlisle railway. (Ribbleshead Viaduct) After having a drink and a snack at Kettlewell we headed north, and made our way around the moors to Settle Carlise line and stopped to admire the viaduct, (with lots of other people.
Horton-in-Ribblesdale This is not far from the viaduct and we stopped here for an early afternoon tea. Josh took most of the pictures on this occasion.
Stainforth Late afternoon stop and a chance for Sue to have break from driving.
